Celebrating Excellence: KSJI 897 Awards Cadets and Juniors at October Meeting
It was a moment of pride and celebration at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Ekete, as members of Knights of St John International Commandery 897 presented cash awards to their cadets and juniors who emerged winners at the recently concluded Warri Commandery Quiz Competition held during the long holiday period.
The presentation took place during the October monthly meeting of the Commandery, and it served as a powerful reminder of the order’s commitment to youth development, intellectual growth, and moral excellence within the Catholic community.
In his brief remarks, the Worthy President commended the young winners for their dedication and discipline, noting that their achievements reflect the strength of mentorship and formation within Commandery 897. He encouraged other cadets and juniors to emulate their peers and continue striving for excellence — not just in competitions, but in academics, service, and faith.
Other officers and members also joined in congratulating the awardees, reaffirming the Commandery’s pledge to continue supporting initiatives that nurture the next generation of Catholic leaders.
The event concluded with a prayer of thanksgiving and words of encouragement from senior officers, reminding the young Knights that service, faith, and learning remain the pillars of true Christian leadership.
